A different approach...
Somatic and Experiential Therapies go beyond traditional talk psychotherapy to incorporate the whole person’s experience of life. The work is deeply integrative because it weaves together the nonverbal story of the body with the spoken narrative of the mind. Thinking meets Sensing and Feeling.

We work towards developing a MindBody Narrative that is coherent and connected so that you no longer feel the internal struggle of having to shut off parts of yourself in order to get by. You move from Post Traumatic Stress to Post Traumatic Growth.

Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?

Psychotherapeutic Touchwork
I am guided by the latest understandings in neuroscience and psychobiology, and their clinical applications in Interpersonal Neurobiology, Polyvagal Theory, Ethology and Attachment Theory. Several modalities utilized are Somatic Experiencing, Inner Relationship Focusing/Parts Work, Brainspotting, Mindfulness, DBT/CBT, Pre and Perinatal Psychotherapy. Serving adults and young children, and mothers & babies.
Through a collaborative process, the client and I will set an intention for a direction and theme to explore during a Time-Limited Series of sessions. Typically, we will work together for approximately 10 to 15 hours that can be spread out over weeks or grouped together for a weekend-style retreat.
Touch speaks to us in the first language of all humans. It is our first sense to develop before we are born. Gentle and noninvasive Touchwork can support and augment a sense of safety and connection through regulation of the Autonomic Nervous System and other psycho-physiological processes. I combine my skills in several Developmental Trauma Touchwork modalities with Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy.
Parenting Support
I work with parents using the lens of Attachment Theory, Conscious Parenting, and Interpersonal Neurobiolgy. We look at patterns, dynamics, behaviors and belief systems of family members to better understand behaviors and patterns and learn new ways to connect with and lovingly guide your children. This work can be done in sessions with or without children present.
Listening Technologies for Regulation
The Safe & Sound Protocol is a modulated listening system that conditions and strengthens the tone and functioning of the Vagus Nerve. This, in part, supports development of our Social Engagement System, issues arising from neurodiversity, trauma resolution, auditory processing and sensory sensitivities.
Professional Trainings & Consultations
I offer classes and consultations to professionals wishing to augment their practices with Somatic practices or those needing support with clinical concerns. I am also a Personal Session Provider for the Somatic Experiencing International Institute's training program.
